Give Me the Truth

My dear please to not make excuses for me,
Your courage and honesty are what set me free.

It will do us not good to hide from the lies,
That we tell ourselves and allow in our lives.

I'm sorry I hurt you it was not my intent,
If you had not told me it would have no end.

By doing what's right you have opened my eyes,
And reminded me of the virtues I hold deep inside.

So give me your dignity, honor and truth,
I'll do the same and our world shall improve.
